WDR shows on indefinite hold
Well I guess an explanation is in order.
The 'Dog was moved to a better server, so now you can watch all the vids with a better connection coming from the source here. So if any files are missing, PLEASE contact me and not the Spec Ops staff. It's through their generosity that WDR has a home, and I am grateful for the hosting they provide. But Webdog, and Spec Ops, are growing and there's the occasional "growing pain" as servers are swapped. But in the end, the videos are still here, and the service was, hopefully, uninterrupted.
Now, the not so easy to explain part. I know you all are asking "where's the new tip clip shows?" Paintball is a game done best outside, for the most part. And filming Webdog is no different. The weather, as of late, has been not cooperating with filming. It's either raining or going to rain, for the most part. So we haven't been able to put any new film down for the tip clips.
Match that with the joy of technological disasters on my end. The digital video camera went down for no adequately explained reason, and so did the helmetcam. I think it's a wiring problem, but one I can't fix here. So in the next few weeks EVERYTHING is going back to the metaphorical "shop" for hopeful repairs. If they can't fix the problems, then I'm gonna try to get new gear. Operative word is "try". You all know my budget as well as I do.
What does this mean? Web Dog is, temporarily, a closed shop. The FPS series as well as the Tip Clip bonus shows are on indefinite hold while we sit it out and wait for a lot of factors to come back into favor. Mainly those of weather, technology, and the wishful thinking that I manage to not injure myself again. But snowboard
season is around the corner, so there's no guarantee on the last part.
All this said, looking over on the film schedule there are six shows that haven't been hit yet. These include the "grenade" show, a show about indoor play, winter play, an "advanced trix" show, a technology show about radios, and others. As soon as we can get back out there, we'll be filming again. There is also one episode that has been filmed, but refuses to come off the tape cleanly. We'll keep plugging away at that one and see if we can't make it work.
There's a possibility of taking a few of the shows at an indoor location, but that involves finding one that will let us invade for a day or so to get some filming in. But as soon as we can, announcements will be made in the usual places, as well as this webspace.
